VOLCANIC STONES

A spontaneous wander along the beach during the early hours of the evening in Lanzarote, I found myself in a secluded spot, the tide was out and the floor was a carpet of volcanic stones. The low sun was casting dark shadows across them. The scene was complex but the plan was to simplify this and concentrate on abstract form and texture in a minimalist way. Being completely alone with the sea was very calming. Lanzarote, 2024
